It's Friiidddaaaay
you aint got not job, aint got shit to do, Ima get you high.... Name that movie!
Not looking forward to the weekend. I have made a break through on my statistics though, I am hoping to be well prepared for this test, but it is going to take me all weekend to do it! I have to study for Psych as well... Where does the time go?
It seems like lately time has just snowballed. I mean wasn't I just typing my update for last Friday? Wow, time flies, even when you are not having fun!
I do plan on watching the Gator TN game Saturday night. I love football, especially Gator football.... This is the first televised game this year (that you did not have to buy)...
Okay, I have given it some thought, and would like to introduce to you, some of the people on my blog roll!
Larry ~ You will hear about this great guy often, if you frequent my blog. He is not only my best friend, but also my cousin, co-worker, roommate, I mean he is like a brother to me. Ladies, watch out, he is a great catch. There is not a more caring or considerate guy on the face of this earth, and Cute too! He is always there when you need him, he knows when to listen and when to push! In his blog, you will find mostly the day to day personal journal entries, mixed with a dry humor and wit that only Larry can pull off. He includes pictures from some of our more interesting outings, and in general a good insight into life.
Bonnie Rae ~ I met Bonnie through work, and we have become very close. She actually introduced me to blogging, and helped pull me out of my shell a bit. She introduced me to online poetry forums, and encouraged me to share my work. Bonnie is an avid writer, with so much talent, it is unreal. She dabbles in short stories, poems, and is currently working on a couple of Novels. She has let me read bits and clips here and there, and I cannot wait until they are done. Bonnie recently got rid of her blog, and downgraded to a myspace blog. On her new blog, you will find tidbits of info about what is happening in her life, and hopefully some of her new work! Bonnie can always make me smile, she always has an ear to lend, and always has an idea on how to make things better.
Casey ~ Casey and I used to be neighbors, and she now works with me at the pd. Casey is a very sweet southern gal, who loves her dogs! She breeds pit bulls, and has a minpin. She has recently built her first home, and adopted a family member's son until they get on their feet. I always tease her about being a "redneck girl" because she owns an ATV and goes mudding. Casey also has a myspace blog, where you will find her life reflections, and juicy tidbits about vacations and work...
Rachel ~ I met Rachel through PoetryArray well over a year ago. I count myself lucky to have made such a good online friend as her. When this woman has a vision, she just goes for it. Since PA, she has created her very own website, LyricalMuse which is totally awesome. She always has an ear to listen and words of wisdom to share. Though she does not update often, due to her new career, it is well worth the wait! Rachel is also a writer, if you did not gather from the poetry sites... This woman has some raw talent!
Oprayearth ~ I met this classy lady on Lyricalmuse, and I thought she was my age. Turns out, she is still in high school. Opray is an artist, poet, writer, swimmer, and advanced student. I love to read her blog, because it takes me down memory lane. You will read about swim meets, and see some of her drawings, which kick ass by the way. She seems to have an affinity for cars.
MBTankerslEy ~ This fellow I ran into on PoetryArray, and he is a kick ass poet! He actually has two blogs listed under my friends. Turmoil of 1000 hands is his view on things such as politics, he is a Democrat, to borrow his line "so nobody can accuse me of being partisan." He writes about a variety of subjects there. TankerslEy has a career in the advertising business, so don't let him fool you with the "would be poet" mumbo jumbo.... He is a very good writer. In his other blog you will find tales of his encounters during daily life.
MichaelDrew ~ AKA Jezter. I ran into this cat on LyricalMuse. He is a most interesting man! He is a tattoo artist, writer, and poet, so he is well versed in the arts! I have learned a ton from reading his work, and his comments to my work. He is dubbed the King of Metaphors in my book! In his blog you will find a collection of short stories, mostly inspired by dreams of his, and the beginning of a very captivating novel I think... you will have to go back aways to find the beginning, but it is well worth it!
PatrickVance ~ Now this is a great blog! I blogged before I stumbled on to his, but now I am just addicted. Patrick is an extremely funny fellow, who enjoys tennis and coffee shops. On his blog you will find some of the most random thoughts, pictures, cool links, and daily adventures with friends. This blog opened up a whole new door to blogging. There are tons of links to other cool blogs, as well as the Patrick wide web, which are blogs all kept up by him. I was hooked on day one that I started reading it!
Dano ~ I found Dano's blog by way of Patrick's blog, and though we have just recently begun our online friendship, I find myself addicted to his blog as well. Patrick and Dano are friends in the real world as well. Dano enjoys tennis and trips up to the "tree" with his pals. He is forever posting awesome pictures that he takes, as well as music, links, and some pretty wild tales of what goes on in his life. You should ask him about the jacuzzi thing... Also a ton of cool blogs linked there.
Justin ~ Man this is the domino affect I swear. Justin's blog I found through Dano... LOL funny how that works. Justin is a corrections officer, and also in the National Air Guard. He is currently deployed in Guam, and is a terrific person. On his blog you will find some AWSOME pictures and some serious adventures that he takes on this island. He also writes some short stories, which I was lucky enough to sample one, and anxiously await the next part. You should scroll through till you find the coconut story, it is great!
Carmel ~ and last but definitely not least is Carmel. Carmel actually found me through Patrick's blog, (I told you it is like the doorway to blogville.) She lives in Australia and is a devout Catholic. On her blog you will find cool pictures, quizes, updates on everything that is going on in the world of Catholicism, and her reflections on life. Carmen always has encouraging words to share, and her blog has some fascinating things in it.
Whew, I thought that was going to be harder than it was. I guess even though I have never even met some of these people, they are not complete strangers.
So, in dedication to friendship, there are those who blog, and those who don't, some are new and some are old... A poem I found:
"Portrait of a Friend"
I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
search for answers.
I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.
I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.
Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.
Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.
I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.
I can't keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.
I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

One of my friends who does not blog, gave me a great idea for my blog. A trivial fact of the day, so I think I am going to give it a shot.
Todays fact: Did you know that the gene that causes Tigers to be white, also causes them to be cross eyed? It's true, google it, I did.
BYL (blog ya later!)
